Health and Safety in Emergency Management
This guide has been designed to help you protect your most valuable resource – your staff – in an emergency. Its aim is to help health care and community care organizations build on the programs and standards you may already have in place. With its focus on OSACH’s mandate – the prevention and reduction of workplace injuries, illness and disease – it does not address issues of patient or public safety. Instead, it highlights those steps and processes that employers should consider as they make sure their emergency management plan is the best it can be for the sake of their staff.
