Radiation Safety Officer (RSO-1)

If your organization holds a licence to use a radioactive source, Canadian nuclear safety regulations require that a qualified Radiation Safety Officer be available to handle any issues that arise in relation to that source.

The Institute's four-day RSO-1 course can help you. RSO-1 will teach you everything from the basics of radiation science to the government-regulated exposure limits; from the biological and health effects of radiation to the Nuclear Safety Act and Regulations that govern the use of radioactive materials and radiation sources.

To date, the Institute has graduated over 300 RSO's and has received great praise for its instructors and the effectiveness of their teaching techniques.
