This video provides detailed information about the use and care of different
types and levels of personal protective equipment (PPE) for health care workers
in the acute care setting. It is divided into modules to accommodate the needs

Personal Protection Against Infection (DVD)
This video covers the basics of infection control for health care support staff,
from modes of transmission to hand washing to the use of personal protective
equipment. At just eleven minutes' duration, this will be a comprehensive,
comprehensible, and convenient resource that can be used for orientation, lunch
'n learn sessions, or infection control practice reviews. Now available on DVD

Breathe Safe: Fitting the Right Respirator (DVD)
A comprehensive overview of fit testing and the use of respirators including
proper donning, doffing and seal check techniques. There are two complete
programs, one covering Qualitative fit testing, the other Quantitative fit
testing. This product is recommended for use in conjunction with a complete
respiratory protection program. (Member $150 Non-member $400)
OSACH – Respiratory Protection Programs
This document was developed to provide information to health and community care organizations on the legislation and standards regarding respiratory protection and to guide employers in the development and implementation of a successful respiratory protection program against infectious agents. OSACH – Protecting Health Care Workers from Infection Diseases: A Self-Assessment Tool
This is a self-assessment tool that can be used by health care organizations to identify health and safety strategies that can prevent worker-related adverse outcomes. It provides guidance in the assessment of the infection control training needs of staff and in the review and revision of facility infection control policies and procedures. The self-assessment tool is based on Ontario legislation, Canadian standards and guidelines, and other internationally recognized guidelines (where these offer the latest information and expert opinion) current at the time of release.
