Sandra has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto; she completed a major in Life Sciences and a triple minor in French, Physiology and Psychology. She also holds a degree in Applied Science in Occupational Health and Safety from Ryerson University. She recently completed her Masters degree in Ergonomics (Human Factors) at Loughborough University in the United Kingdom.

Her master’s dissertation looked at how a specific cognitive artifact can facilitate communication and coordination in a surgical emergency unit at a hospital in Oxford, U.K.

Sandra is a member of the Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE).
