Connie graduated as a registered nurse and has 25 years experience in the health and community care sector. She has completed numerous professional development courses in occupational health and safety and obtained her certification in occupational health nursing.

Connie’s past experience provides a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the issues facing our sector. Most recently, she worked at the Workplace Safety Insurance Board as a Nurse Case Manager and managed the Occupational Health Department at a large hospital. With a focus on claims management, she also developed and implemented of a wide variety of hospital health and safety prevention programs.

Connie has extensive experience in return to work programs, disability/ claims management, and wellness initiatives. She has led numerous leading practice initiatives in the field of health and safety including office ergonomics, musculoskeletal disorders prevention, medical surveillance monitoring and first aid.
